How security window film works
Security film is thicker than tint and clear, so the view stays the same. It bonds to the inside of the glass and holds the pieces together if the glass breaks.
On doors and storefronts, an attachment system can anchor the film to the frame, so the whole pane stays in place for longer.
Is security film bulletproof?
Security film isn’t bulletproof and doesn’t make glass unbreakable. It holds the glass together and slows someone down, which is often enough to stop a break-in.
