Why drivers tint

What car window tint does for you

Tint used to mean picking one outcome and living without the rest — dark but hot, or cool but mirrored. Ceramic IR brings all four reasons people choose to protect their vehicle.

Solar heat reflecting away from tinted side glass before it enters a shaded car cabin

Heat

A cooler car

Ceramic IR turns back the infrared heat that bakes the dash, the wheel and the seats while the car sits in a parking lot all afternoon.

Privacy

Privacy for what’s in your car

Bags, tools, car seats and everything else in the cabin stop being a display window every time you pull up at a light.

UV protection

Blocks 99.99% of UV

The rays that fade a dashboard and crack leather are the same ones landing on your arm every commute. Every shade we install blocks them.

Finish

A clean, factory look

An even shade across every window, edges cut to the real glass profile, and a side profile that looks like it left the factory that way.

Film shade options

Choose your tint shade

Every option is Union Window Films film, carbon or ceramic — only the amount of light it lets through changes. Drag the handle across the glass to see the shade land, and we’ll sanity-check your choice against your own car and Florida law before anything is cut.

Florida asks for at least 28% VLT on the windows either side of the driver. Behind the driver, a car takes at least 15%; SUVs, trucks and vans take at least 6%. Shade also reads differently on every car, so we check it on your glass before we cut.

Your options

Choosing your car window tint

A good tint choice balances comfort, visibility and the finish you like. Tell us which matters most and we can narrow down the glass and film together.

Everyday comfort

For commuting, school runs and long drives, discuss the windows that bring in the most glare and the cabin comfort you want.

Bring your make, model and current glass details.

A balanced appearance

Factory privacy glass and added film can look different. Compare the front and rear glass together before settling on a shade.

See samples on glass, as well as on a screen.

A cooler cabin

Ask about the solar-performance figures for the actual film being quoted. Shade describes light transmission; it does not tell the whole heat-control story.

Compare film specifications at similar shades.

Window films explained

How window films differ

Tint is sold by shade, but shade isn’t what separates a good install from a cheap one. What the film is made of decides how much heat it stops and how it looks three summers from now. None of these carry a metal layer, so your phone, toll tag and GPS carry on as normal.

Questions about car window tinting in Crestview

How much does car window tinting cost?

Car window tinting usually costs from $200 to $800+. The price depends on your vehicle and the film you choose.

How do I choose a window tint shade?

Pick by look and privacy: darker shades hide more of the cabin, lighter ones keep a factory look. We check your state’s limit for the front windows before we start, and you can compare samples on the glass.

When can I roll my windows down after tinting?

Keep them up for 3 to 5 days while the film dries, and wait a week before cleaning the inside of the glass. Use a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner.

Does the tint come with a warranty?

Automotive tinting comes with a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling and fading on qualifying installs. Architectural tinting comes with a 10-year warranty, plus our additional 5-year warranty against peeling only.

How long does car window tinting take?

Most cars take 2 to 4 hours. Taking off old tint first can add an hour or two.

How dark can I tint my windows in Florida?

In Florida, the front side windows must let in at least 28% of light, and the rear side windows and back window can take at least 15%. On SUVs, trucks and vans, the rear windows can take at least 6%. We check the law for your car before we start.

Can you take off old tint?

Yes. Taking off old tint usually adds $100 to $250 and an hour or two, depending on the glass and how old the film is.
